Untying Breastfeeding
The evening will feature the Brisbane Premiere of the groundbreaking documentary, “Untying Breastfeeding”. This film, produced by Effath Yasmin, a leading IBCLC & a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist from Mumbai, India, provides a moving and insightful examination of the effects of Ankyloglossia on the lives of infants, mothers and whole families. It has been screened at National and International Tongue Tie conferences.
Speakers
Dr Marjan Jones
Dr Marjan Jones is owner and Principal Dentist at Enhance Dentistry & is a director of the Tongue Tie Institute.
She is a global leader in the field of Ankyloglossia, lecturing worldwide on the subject and is a founding member and inaugural chairperson of the International Consortium of Anylofrenula Professionals.
Dr Jones has performed laser surgery to correct oral restrictions in over 6000 patients and brings her vast knowledge and passion for the subject to her lectures.
Dr Dan Hanson
Dr Dan Hanson lectures internationally on the subjects of breathing and soft tissue dysfunction and malocclusion. With a focus on whole of life health, Dr Hanson has developed a special interest in early intervention through the treatment of tongue tie in infants, toddlers and children and has treated over 2000 cases.
Dr Hanson is co-owner of Myofocus Melbourne and is an associate at Enhance Dentistry and Gold Coast Holistic Dental Care.
Jo Molloy IBCLC
With over 30 years paediatric experience, Jo is a leading International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with extensive knowledge and skill in supporting breastfeeding dyads through the identification, treatment and aftercare of oral restrictions.
Over and above her professional qualifications, Jo brings a level of care, love and empathy that is transformative for the thousands of dyads she has supported.
Jo is the principal at Jo Molloy Lactation Services.
